Racing
Against Drugs By
browsing through the web site you
can see we love the sport of drag racing. We also love the youth of our community and desire to have each and
every one of them remain drug free to equip them for the exciting future
ahead of them. We have
developed a program where we visit schools across the western provinces.
We deliver a message of the importance of remaining drug free, how to say
“no”, and the importance of a “team”, which for each one begins
with the family unit they belong to.
Having our youth finish their education is paramount, and we stress
that finishing school is just the beginning of life in the big world.
We also take a message of safety to the kids, as we all know safety
at home is vital, especially with so many latch –key kids in our
communities.
We supply kids with age appropriate material to take home and read.
They also receive items such as pencils, key chains, rulers etc. to
take home with them supplied by our sponsors.
Each child gets a poster of the car with sponsors promoted on it.
The students are taken out to the car and allowed to freely move
around it, ask questions, and touch the big jet engine, and find out where
all the fire and smoke comes from.
They just beam when they get close to the car.
We have a lot of adults coming off the streets to see the semi with
the larger than life logos, and the car of course. Conversations are about
the car and often move to discussion around sponsors where we can then
promote products or job opportunities available.

Kids of all ages are more than tickled to sit in the seat of this powerful machine. It doesn't matter if the kids are in kindergarten or high school. You can't help but walk by the car and be amazed by the awesome 7500h.p. smoke and flame spewing engine. You just have to check out the car and see where all the flames and smoke come from. Now you can be close, touch it, and even sit in it. | ||

These young people from Moose Jaw are just a few of the many hundreds of kids that Kevin and the Prairieland Motorsports team have talked to over the past years. The race team has been in elementary schools and high schools in each of the prairie provinces of Canada and has been able to reach thousands of kids every year with their powerful, enabling message. Contact Kevin in the link below to find out how to have him come to your school and positively affect the lives of kids in your community. We are all about people. |
